The Pride Collective is hosting a Zine and Art Fair in the Nest today where students can purchase zines, arts and crafts made by people in UBC’s LGBTQ+ community. It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For those not in the know, zines are self-published DIY print collections of texts and images that explore an author and contributors' specific interests or opinions. They’re not unlike magazines, but they generally have small circulations within intimate subcultural communities. You can check out a number of them at tomorrow’s fair.
Additionally, this event gives you the opportunity to support local artists and creators at UBC.
