Out on the Shelves was established on Davie Street in April 1983, at the heart of Vancouver’s burgeoning 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and is the city’s oldest queer library.

During my freshman year, I did what the average freshman boy does and went to football games and joined a fraternity. However, unlike most freshman experiences, mine was slightly marred with confederate protests.
With most varsity teams back at it, campus is buzzing with action as teams fight for U Sports or other competitive league glory.
One of the oldest design teams on campus, SUBC members work in collaboration to leverage specific skill sets and create sub components that can be put together to create a high-performance functional product.
Hidden away in Irving K. Barber Library, the Rare Books and Special Collections section of the UBC Library has hundreds upon hundreds of materials so fancy that no one is even allowed to browse them without asking first.
