Following a nine game winning streak, the Thunderbirds lost 90–82 in their final home match of the season against the University of Victoria Vikes.

After two seasons with the Thunderbirds including one Canada West title, Jadon Cohee made the jump to playing professional basketball overseas with Mgzavrebi-Armia Tbilisia of the Georgia Superleague. More recently, Cohee was chosen to be a part of Canada’s senior national team and will be set to compete at the FIBA Americup in 2022.

From 2004 through 2008, McGuinness led the women’s team to three CIS National Championships while also accumulating 2,523 points along the way, which is still the most amount of points a single player has scored over their career in UBC’s history.
