Cropping up on Facebook only a few months ago and maintaining a rather understated presence since with only 24 likes on its page, UBC Gears and Queers has emerged as an exciting new social club with great potential.
At the third annual Chef Challenge that was hosted by UBC Community Development, the guests were welcomed by friendly staff and upbeat Indie music. The festival supported local and seasonal produce and was advertised as a zero waste event.
The roster of competitors consists of AMS Conferences and Catering, BierCraft, Koerner’s Pub, Point Grill and Sage Bistro. The competing chefs will be pairing their savoury dishes with craft beer provided by Driftwood Brewery.
