It is the most wonderful time of year, and as the weather starts to get colder outside, the temperatures inside the Student Rec Centre were at an all time high on Friday night as UBC Rec hosted their annual Dodgeball Derby.
After beating the Dinos on Saturday 3-1, the Thunderbirds came out firing on all cylinders in the first set. They started the game on a 7-1 run thanks to huge plays by Mat Guidi and Alex Russell. Thanks to the hot start, UBC never looked back and cruised to a first set win, 25-14.
While 2,000 odd people were watching the UBC Thunderbirds face off against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in a football game, men's volleyball took on Mount Royal University at War Memorial Gym.
For the first time since 1987, both the UBC Cross Country and Track and Field teams will have a new head coach and his name is Laurier Primeau.
If you go to homecoming, you might not remember the score, but the memories you’ll leave with will last a lifetime.
