It can be hard to motivate yourself to get dressed and go out to see a play when you could just binge Netflix in your underwear at home. It can seem intimidating, but you don’t have to be passionate about live performance to get something out of the experience.
The artists were given two hours to complete their murals. If that wasn’t cool enough to watch, there was also a live model that anyone could draw — paper and pencils were handed out on request.
University is a time of great self-learning and a way to learn about things that may directly influence the way you see and experience the world. Most importantly, university is a chance to explore ourselves and what it means to be “me.”
In his own words, “I don’t think Vancouver’s unique, but when you start digging down into all the stories you hear all the time, you find out how many of them really aren’t true, but are fabrications or exaggerations for one reason or another.”
Unpredictability was the name of the game with this performance which made it consistently relatable while simultaneously interesting. Both their bodies and the sand acted as canvas, but even more than that was the audience’s minds.
