The ASC was originally chosen to reside in the Bosque because it met the Arts Undergraduate Society’s requirements of being a standalone structure close to the main hub of campus, but building there would require the removal of eight of the trees planted in 1968.

Located in the Engineering Student Centre (ESC), the ESC Eatery has been open on campus since September. There are a wide variety of casual options available such as different types of sandwiches, chips, coffee and tea.
The event aimed to give students and the UBC community an opportunity to discuss change making initiatives and ideas as well as interact with professionals whose initiatives have led to positive change.
“Starting your club, you should be passionate about it ... starting a new club should never be a chore, it should be a passion," said Alex Yao, the president of the UBC Origami club, which was founded in 2008.
