The UBC Winter Classic -- a joint effort by AMS events, UBC Athletics and The Calendar that they hope will be the biggest UBC hockey game ever -- is happening this evening, and AMS president Tanner Bokor has just raised the stakes.
Bokor bet University of Saskatchewan student union president Max FineDay that the Thunderbirds will win today's game. The loser of the bet has to change their student union's social media (i.e. Facebook page) images to those of the other university and wear clothing from their opponent's school. Bokor has also offered to donate to a charity of FineDay's choice should the 'Birds lose tonight's match.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $4 for UBC students.
