The UBC Mental Health Awareness Club (MHAC) and Biological Sciences Society teamed up Thursday afternoon with Pets and Friends, a BC-based non-profit dedicated to helping “relieve stress, increase optimism and address the basic human need for companionship” by bringing a team of dogs to Abdul Ladha Science Student Centre.
Students were allowed to sign up for 15 minute slots to enjoy the company of the pups and they instantly took advantage. Slots were completely filled in 45 minutes of the link being posted on the event page.
Pets and Friends are no strangers to teaming up with MHAC to de-stress students with dogs and their free events are always completely “sold out.”
