This Thursday, April 13, the AMS, The Ubyssey and UBCC350 are hosting a debate between three candidates running for the Point Grey riding in the upcoming provincial election. Amanda Konkin, David Eby and James Lombardi are running for BC Greens, BC NDP and BC Liberal parties respectively.
The event will be held in the Great Hall on the second floor of the Nest, starting with a meet-and-greet between the candidates and attendees, followed by a debate in which anyone can submit questions.
This is a great way to bring up any problems you’ve been having in the community and a chance to get some answers on how the candidates plan on resolving them. If you aren’t yet registered to vote, visit the BC election website, as the deadline is April 11 at midnight.
