September Sounds of UBC - 2021

The UBC campus is massive – one might even say it is a “univer-city.” Whether you’re walking to class, heading to the library to study or on your way to the Nest to meet a friend, it’s almost inevitable that you’ll walk past a swarm of students, all completely immersed in their own world.

Most times when students are walking alone, they will have some form of headphones in their ears or strapped around their head. What better way is there to fill those long walks across campus than by listening to your favourite music? With so many students comes so many music tastes. Music can help keep us sane during long school days filled with commuting, studying and working. Sometimes finding those relatable lyrics can be just what you need to get through a busy week.

The Ubyssey collected a list of songs that students have been enjoying on their trek across campus this past month. As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once said, “Music is the universal language of mankind,” so don’t waste any more time trying to make the perfect playlist — go ahead and shuffle this one!
