The Board of Governors is the highest governing body at UBC, and among all the questions about platforms and consultation and other words I don’t understand, I felt it was necessary to ask some other hard-hitting questions the newsies wouldn’t think to ask.

It’s everyone’s “favourite” time of year: the annual AMS election! And, oh boy, have we got a lot of candidates vying for this years chance of securing a sick addition to their med school or grad application. I’m kidding (am I?).
I revelled in the pile of goodies that had appeared before me. This, I thought, this is student government.
“From the Cult” will be churning out great, important content that I’m sure will truly change the hearts and minds of the voting population, make all the candidates block us on all social media, and have people on Reddit and Facebook comments saying that The Ubyssey sucks and is too much like Buzzfeed.
Though this year is a bit different from times gone by, as the voting period will last a raunchy three weeks period — thanks to not wanting to break the law. That’s a lot of time, so we wondered what other things could happen in that same amount of time. Here’s the skinny.
