Chris Hakim is the new AMS president.
The current AMS VP Administration won the top job in the AMS executive body. He also won a senator-at-large seat.
“God, I’m just so honoured that students would pick me to be their advocate and I will want to make them proud,” he said.
Hakim ran on a platform of improving sexual assault support, affordability, Indigenous inclusion and sustainability.
“Goddamnit, I’m getting back to work,” he exclaimed, when asked about the first thing he wants to do after the celebration.
