Between July 13 and July 19, the UBC neighbourhood saw an average daily case rate of one case per 100,000 residents.
Surrounding neighbourhoods of West Point Grey/Dunbar-Southlands and Kitsilano saw no cases over that same time period.
The test positivity rate in the UBC neighbourhood came in at zero per cent, indicating a negligible amount of cases of the tests taken by residents.
Vaccination coverage of at least one dose has slowed in its rise, with residents ages 12+ seeing a 79 per cent vaccination rate. Coverage for 18+ and 18-49 also sit at 79 per cent, with the vaccination coverage for 50+ sitting just above at 80 per cent.
UBC remains a bit lower than surrounding neighbourhoods in terms of vaccination coverage.
In West Point Grey/Dunbar-Southlands, 85 per cent of residents have at least one dose. In Kitsilano and Fairview, that number sits higher at 89 per cent — a full ten per cent higher than the vaccination coverage at UBC.
The Shaughnessy/Arbutus Ridge/Kerrisdale area has a single-dose vaccination rate closer to UBC’s, sitting at 82 per cent.
As of Tuesday, July 20, 81 per cent of eligible adults have received their first dose in BC, while 57.8 per cent have received their second.
The province saw 76 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, a slight uptick from the last few weeks of fairly consistent low case counts.
