UBC has cancelled all classes today as snowfall continues to cripple access to campus.
The university announced yesterday evening that it would be cancelling all classes with start times before 6:30 p.m. because of rising commute times. Today, the school also cancelled classes that start at or after 6:30 p.m., making it an official snow day for UBC students.

The campus itself is not closed, but many non-essential services are curtailed.
Athletic facilities such as the Student Recreation Centre and the BirdCoop are closed until at least 6:30 p.m.
Essential services — like Student Health Services and UBC Campus Security — continue to operate.
Most food services are open, but some including the Forestry Tim Hortons and Booster Juice are closed. A full list is available here.
The Nest, including all AMS businesses and offices, are also closed for the day.
Bus service to campus continues, but Translink has issued warnings about delays for multiple bus lines that service UBC.
Environment Canada is projecting an additional five cm of snow today. Snowfall will ease later, but additional flurries are possible tonight. The release warns that “quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions” are likely.
UBC said it will announce a decision on February 13 classes tomorrow at 6 a.m.
