Virtuous Pie employee tests positive for COVID-19

An employee at pizza restaurant Virtuous Pie has tested positive for COVID-19.

Virtuous Pie, located in Wesbrook Village on Shrum Lane, posted on Instagram yesterday that an employee tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, November 12.

“We’re thankful to share that they are feeling well and are recovering at home. This staff member did not have close contact with any members of the public while working,” the restaurant said.

The employee last worked on Sunday, November 8.

The restaurant has deemed that no one in the restaurant on November 8 was a “high-risk, close-contact individual.”

The restaurant said it would temporarily close between Thursday, November 12 until Saturday, November 14 to perform a “deep clean” of its premises. Virtuous Pie posted again on Instagram saying it had reopened today at noon.

“We want to take this moment to assure all guests that we continue operating with a high level of health & safety standards, and all our employees undergo a health check before their shift – in accordance with the most recent health guidelines,” said the post.
