During the 2022 portion of my term as president of The Ubyssey’s Board of Directors, the Board has undertaken and completed several projects. Here are five things we accomplished in 2022:

Students, faculty and staff can complete the anonymous survey online. The deadline for survey responses is February 23.
Nominations for the annual AMS elections open tomorrow, January 10. Students can serve one-year terms on the AMS executive team, the Board of Governors (BoG), the Senate and the Student Legal Fund Society (SLFS). Any UBC student can nominate themselves for these positions.
This year, COP 27 took place in Egypt from November 6–18 and I attended as an official observer. Here’s what to expect at the November 16 Senate meeting.
The next on-campus VCH COVID-19 booster clinic will be held on November 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Life Sciences Centre. Flu shots can be booked at this location, with some walk-in availability.
“Isn’t the weather beautiful? I can’t believe it’s not raining. It’s like, who did this?” The answer is, no, the weather is not nice. And the climate crisis did this.
On Wednesday night, AMS Council is set to vote on a motion to revise its Records Policy (SR2) that, if passed, would mean members of the AMS, which are students, cannot request access to internal correspondence or raw data (data collected by or for the AMS).
