After a reported “altercation” at UBC Hospital’s nursing home, Purdy Pavilion, on April 26, an 81-year-old man was taken to the hospital in deteriorating condition. He died the following day.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation, but they note that the case is not a public safety concern.
No one has been taken into custody or charged.
