Christmas Tree

It’s the holiday season and that means it’s time to listen to ridiculous music and revel in the festive atmosphere. Unfortunately, it also means that the days are getting darker and shorter. Even worse, final exams and papers are looming.

UBC’s Allard School of Law has created programs for law students looking to expand their horizons beyond Canada. These programs afford students the opportunity to extend their degree and potentially graduate with accreditations from both schools.

The AMS recently hired Shilo St. Cyr as the new manager of the Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC). She is replacing Ashley Bentley, who left the position to take on a new role as the sexual assault intervention and prevention advisor for UBC.

If you are one of those students that rereads your notes and textbooks to prepare for an exam, you’re doing it wrong. Rereading information is actually not an effective way to study, despite what many students think.

IC-Kindness is a non-profit, youth-based organization that attempts to strengthen society through acts of kindness. Their mission is “to unite individuals of diverse backgrounds towards acts of kindness.”

And besides, technically I’ve been getting into the spirit since October by sending my relatives potential gift ideas with passive aggressive messages along the lines of “hey, look at this neat clothing item/accessory/four-litre bottle of Jameson!

It’s December 1 today y’all and we know you’re already in the Christmas spirit. If you haven’t put up your Christmas tree, snuggled up in a Snuggy, watched the original Home Alone movies and put on an ugly Christmas sweater, your time is now.
