Free Speech Club puts male symbol on top of the cairn

In light of a men's rights group having their application to become an AMS club rejected, the UBC Free Speech Club is showing their support by placing a blue, wooden sign of the male symbol on top of the engineering cairn on Main Mall.

The blue wooden sign has signatures that were collected earlier today in front of the Nest in support of making the mens rights group an AMS funded club. The tweet below was sent to The Ubyssey by Twitter user adrianaaustin96 who is a member of the Free Speech Club.

Correction: The writing on the sign consisted of thank-you notes to influential men and not signatures as written in this article.
